SNES is the original, but GBA got an edition improved in many ways and it's supposed to be more faithful to the original script. You could play the SNES version or GBA version through injection, and it's a dilemma, which version to play. As you know, one of the most beloved games of all time, Final Fantasy VI (which is 3's version in the west) is playable in the 3DS.
